A New Concept in Memory Care
The Bristal includes an innovative private neighborhood called Reflections, an individually personalized memory care program that specializes in caring for older adults who are facing early to mid-stage Alzheimer’s disease and related cognitive disorders.
Specialists trained in therapeutic recreation lead art and music classes that have demonstrated their effectiveness in Alzheimer’s care. Reading circles, creative writing and other inventive memory care activities help keep minds active and sharp.
Staffed with experienced professionals, Reflections is an environment that allows individuals to maintain their dignity while allowing families to be free of the enormously draining role of primary caregiver.
The Reflections staff undergoes continuing educational training and sensitivity training, and includes the family every step of the way. Residents feel supported by a circle of care that is comforting, dependable and rooted in understanding.
