Alzheimer’s and Memory Care

At Emerson House, we know that in order to provide good memory care, it’s essential to understand how your loved one sees the world and how their dementia is likely to progress so that good decisions can be made on their behalf. Knowledge is key.

Finding your way through caring for someone with dementia is a special set of circumstances that calls for a special solution. At Emerson House, we began with an understanding of how a person with Alzheimer’s disease or another related dementia experiences the world and created a community to meet those needs. From our staff, to our training, to the way our building is designed, we’re prepared to provide the best possible care.

Consider This:

For those with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia or other memory impairment, their physical environment is a big factor in how comfortable, calm and secure they feel. Spaces that are too large, with too many people, can be over-stimulating and create anxiety. Communities that are too small typically don’t have the diverse staff that is required to handle a variety of situations.

Complimentary Cognitive Evaluation

At Emerson House, we know that to provide the best memory care, you have to understand the individual cognitive, medical, physical, and social needs of each person. To do so, requires an understanding of how they see the world, and how that viewpoint is likely to change moving forward. Our cognitive evaluation is offered free of charge so family members can understand their loved ones from a new perspective – one of hope and change, rather than one of fear and misunderstanding.

The quality of care you deserve. We take the time to do things comfortably and correctly. Every resident is important to us and quality starts with the time we give to them.
