FACILITIES AND AMENITIES
Brookdale Palm Beach Gardens is a pet-friendly facility located on 27 landscaped acres that include a private gardening area, a paved walking path and a duck-filled pond. Residents live in studios or in one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, each equipped with air conditioning and climate control, fully equipped kitchens, cable, a screened-in patio or balcony and emergency call systems.
All Brookdale Palm Beach Gardens residents have access to a library, convenience store, game room, swimming pool, whirlpool spa, cocktail lounge and a private dining area. Meals are prepared fresh daily, served in a restaurant-style dining room and include seasonal and featured starters, entrees and desserts. All of the food is prepared by a professionally trained chef who receives nutritional guidance from a registered dietitian.
HEALTHCARE
Brookdale Palm Beach Gardens offers residents three levels of care, including independent living support, assisted living and memory care services. All residents may request assistance with daily activities, including bathing, dressing, dining and medication management. For residents who need more assistance in order to maintain their independence, 24-hour-a-day personal care is available as well as ongoing monitoring and support for those with limited mobility.
Residents with memory care needs receive healthcare through the Clare Bridge Place program, which works to improve daily quality of life for those with Alzheimer's disease or dementia. The program includes behavior tracking and management as well as specially prepared meals co-planned by a gerontologist and registered dietitian to help residents with cognitive impairment live healthy, active lives.
Residents with specialized or acute healthcare needs are in close proximity to several hospitals, including the JFK Medical Center and Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center. Both provide emergency, cardiac, cancer and neurological medical services.
HEALTH PROGRAMS
Brookdale Palm Beach Gardens offers residents the opportunity to participate in what it calls “Optimum Life” and “Celebrations” health programs. Optimum Life is designed to engage residents in activities that promote emotional, intellectual, physical, social and spiritual wellness. The facility hosts events monthly that are focused on exercise, self-discovery, socialization and finding, rediscovering or refining one's purpose in life.
Residents walk together, exercise in and out of the on-site pool, read together, discuss and debate current events, and attend events during which speakers talk about the importance of having a sense of value and focus. The program is designed to stimulate intellectual and mental capacity, social interaction and cardiovascular endurance, muscle strength and flexibility.
ACTIVITIES AND EVENTS
Brookdale Palm Beach Gardens offers residents ample opportunities to participate in activities and events. On-site religious services are held every week. Residents may take classes in arts, woodworking, crafts, yoga, music, cooking and gardening, among others. Or they can take part in organized board game competitions. The facility also invites authors, entertainers and experts on a variety of topics to speak to residents.
Residents may also sign up for organized excursions into the city, which is home to the Gardens Mall, Lacuna boat tours and a wide variety of seafood, steak and sushi restaurants.
