Welcome to Burnt Hickory Residences - A Personal Care Home For Seniors
Our beautiful historic home was built in 1902. The historic farm house side of our building still has its original, gorgeous hardwood floors, large Victorian windows, and long, beautiful staircase that leads up to our cozy, warm library! Locally owned and operated, the atmosphere is personal, comfortable and where aging in place is welcomed whenever possible.
In 2004 we built our new, large addition, which added 20 additional rooms and dining room to the residence. We have a total of 26 rooms for 30 residents. Spacious open rooms with ceilings standing at 11 ft high. Most rooms come with a kitchenette and private bath and all rooms have cable programming included. Common areas include main dining and private dining rooms, living room, library, activity room, elevator and 3 stairwells, conference room, medication and services office, beautiful wrap-around front porch, and two wheel-chair friendly ramps.
Our Home-Cooked Meals:
We provide three nutritious, fresh off the grill, home-cooked meals each day as well as snacks available between meals.
Our Activities:
We keep our monthly activity calendar full and fun! Most of our activities are focused around cognitive stimulation and socialization to ensure that each one of our residents is receiving the proper kind of care and love needed for them to thrive and grow in their everyday life. With over 10 fireplaces and 11-foot high ceilings throughout the entire building, our community is open, warm, and welcoming.
We have a professional, friendly management team and trained care staff who are certified in CPR, First Aid, and Proxy Care Training for medication management.
We stand firm by our motto, "where there is love, there is life" and we love to give back and bring life to each and every one of our residents here at Burnt Hickory Residences!
