When keeping our loved ones with dementia or Alzheimer’s at home is no longer an option, we believe they should have the next best thing.
Memory Haven was intentionally designed to look, feel, operate and even smell like home. Unlike home, however, we’ve added a comprehensive menu of included personal care services to compassionately support those with dementia and Alzheimer’s.
At the heart of each of our cottages is a central kitchen, living and dining area where our residents live their lives, just like they did at home. They can smell each meal as it is prepared, baked or roasted. They may go to their private bedrooms to sleep, change clothes, use the bathroom, take a nap or enjoy some alone time, but they live day-to-day in this central common area. Our residents are not forced to use a community bathroom, but have the privacy they need. At the same time, they are not isolated in their rooms all day or away from other members of our household. They live at the heart of our cottages.
Our central common area is also home to our team, where they deliver the kind of compassionate care and support to our own residents that we would provide to our own family
members.Regardless of role, all of our team members have the training needed to deliver on the individual care needs and preferences of each of our residents. This provides the utmost flexibility and responsiveness in making sure the daily needs of our residents are met. As a result, the service to our residents is faster because any member of the team can take care of the residents’ needs, whether personal care, activity assistance, laundry, food preparation or housekeeping.
